Dr. Sharon Adusei is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in the developing brain, specifically in understanding the role that our context, culture, and social environment impact how our attention and self-regulation skills unfold throughout childhood and into adolescence.
She has dedicated the last decade of her career focused on promoting well-being and positive health outcomes for children and their families. Since leaving her tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor in the Summer of 2021, Dr. Adusei continues to collaborate with her colleagues on scholarly work that you can learn more about here.
After seeing and experiencing the difficulty of translating research findings into practices that are actually applicable and useful to the community and larger society, Dr. Adusei strives to increase the access and dissemination of evidence-based tools for kids, parents, and families, particularly for those from marginalized backgrounds. She accomplishes this mission through several modalities such as providing clinical services, offering expert consulting services, and working in the digital mental health industry.
